Stella Titanium Mountain Bike (Archived Model)

The Stella Titanium was our 6-7 year running premiere hardtail. It was a go to choice for endurance riders and those tackling ultrarace events like Tour Divide or CTR. As a platform it was partner to numerous course records. Over the years the model saw subtle changes in tube shapes, BB standards and cable routing options. In 2022 we were prototyping the Stella for an update alongside prototyping the release of the Yaupon. In the end the Yaupon with a mountain bike handlebar was so close to the final Stella update we decided to merge the models. So check out Yaupon for what is effectively the new Stella.

The Stella Titanium 29er is our premiere XC and Endurance race hardtail. The Stella Titanium is a proven bike for covering vast distances quickly and comfortably. With the Stella Titanium as their frame of choice, bikepackers have set numerous records at ultra-race events such as Tour Divide, the Colorado Trail Race, Arizona Trail Race and more. Designed to be extremely compatible with a wide range of tire sizes, 29er and 27plus wheels, and fork lengths the Stella Titanium is ready for the trail ahead. Each frame is Made in the USA using our oversized titanium tube set for the best blend of power transfer, trail compliance, and ride quality.

Ride Quality

  • Our titanium has a faster return to its original position, yet similar dampening properties to steel. The result is a more efficient ride that is still extremely comfortable.

  • A balanced BB drop: Positioned to bring out the rest of the geometry and give clearance to pedal through technical rock gardens, climb with power and stay playful on the trail.

  • Supple where it counts: S-Bend seat-stays, sloping top tube and bent down tube. These choices help the bike track in the rough and dampen trail vibrations.

  • CHUMBA Oversized Select Tubing throughout yields large tube miters for strength yet a low frame weight of only 4 lbs.

  • Tucked chain-stays for a snappy ride that are also adjustable via sliding dropouts to maximize tire clearance or stability during endurance rides.

Build Quality

  • Made in USA quality

  • Custom tubing chosen per frame size. XL and L frames use a larger down-tube for the best tracking in rough terrain with these larger sizes. On the smaller M and S frames we run a size down the down-tube making more room in the main triangle for bottles without sacrificing strength.

  • Oversized Aerospace Titanium 3/2.5 Grade Tubing, 6/4 on the yoke and dropouts w/ Paragon Sliding Inserts

  • Machined head tube for tapered or straight forks.

  • Clean thoughtful cable routing

  • All tubes are heat sunk and argon purged when welded to prevent distortion and material thinning
